Day 1:
Samburu National Reserve
You will be picked from your city hotel or airport in the morning and drive to Samburu national reserve. On arrival, you will have lunch and after short rest embark on a game drive in the reserve. Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected parks and is home to species only native to the north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, gerenuk gazelle to the greater and lesser kudu. Back to the lodge in the evening. You can thereafter spend the evenings having drinks and star gazing the stunning sky of Samburu. Accommodation at Samburu Intrepids. Meal Plan ( Lunch and Dinner)
Day 2:
Samburu National Reserve
On this day you will spend morning and evening game drives in the reserve. There is also optional came rides and cultural visit. Accommodation at Samburu Intrepids. Meal Plan ( Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 3:
Meru National Park
After breakfast, depart Samburu Intrepids in the morning and drive to Meru National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch. After short rest you embark on a late afternoon game drive within the park. The park has enormous diversity of habitat and wildlife including the rare species such as caracal, the beautiful Lesser Kudu and aardwolf. Accommodation at Elsa’s Kopje Meru. Day 4:
Meru National Park
This is truly an off the beaten path destination. On this day you will have morning and afternoon game drives within the park with less crowd. Elsa’s Kopje offers massages to ease the stress out of tired shoulders and backs after a safari in the park. Later you will also enjoy a romantic candle lit dinner in open air. Day 5:
Ol Pejeta
After morning breakfast, you will depart Meru national park and drive to Ol pejeta conservancy. You will arrive around midday and have a safari lunch and a short rest in the camp. Later head out for a guided bust walk that gives you the opportunity to learn about game trails and spoor identification as well as the insects, birds and smaller mammals of Ol Pejeta. Day 6:
Ol Pejeta
Enjoy breakfast by the river, followed by your own exclusive game drive through the conservancy. Have a safari lunch in the camp, enjoy a massage in the thatched-roof treatment room or take a dip in the pool. Day 7, 8 & 9:
Mount Kenya National Park
After breakfast you will drive to Mount Kenya National Park. Accommodation will be at the iconic Fairmont Mountain Kenya Safari club. It borders Mount Kenya which offers incredible views of the second highest mountain in Africa. Here, it will be mainly about relaxation with options of activities like golfing, horse riding safari, nature walk and many more at an extra cost. Accommodation at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari club. Day 10:
Depature
After breakfast check out and drive back to Nairobi. The 10 days romantic safari ends when you return to the bustling Nairobi. Meal Plan: Breakfast
